Basic construction of the head

Hi there,

Well, here's the facts! The manga head is the most important part of any manga character (and in real life is the same i quess !?!).

The head in this case is a litlle bit bigger than the head of a real person. WHY ?
Well, thi big manga eyes are one of the reasons but with the eyes we will meet later.

The base for the head is the oval, male head are more narrowed than the female head and a children head is bigger than a mature female/male head.

A General Rule

-    if in reallity the head is about 5 (five) eyes wide, since the eyes of manga characters are big, you  will use the four (four and a half) eyes-wide to measure the manga head.

So, thats it, the examples from below are showing you the way to draw a female head.

Remember, in this lesson you will learn only the basic construction (the shape) of a manga head.
