MANGA TUTORIALS
Well folks... i know that all of you are busting to draw your manga character
BUT... if you
decided it to take some drawing lessons it's better to START
HERE with some basics infos.
Downhere you'll get rules and advices that only you could decide to follow
or not.
So... lets begin.
1. Try to have with you almost all the time a crayon and some papers. When you have an idea or see something that you like, DRAW IT! It may become a part of your futures works.
2. Gather these papers, keep them, in times you will need them!
3. Don't do your drawings on small size papers. Try to get use to draw only from A4 size papers or higher. Why? Well, if its small you cant see the bad points of your work.
4. Observation is the key! Try to study how a human body really looks, observe the bodylines, position of the head, arms and legs. Watch how the shadow "carres" the body. Good location for your observation are the train or busstation, parcs,....
5. A good way to get use with the drawing technique is to draw things from a single line without rising the pen from the paper. These method will help you in time to draw fine & thine lines, shapes,... anything.
6. All things and of course the manga characters
are basically drawn from basic shapes such us:
- spheres (circles and ovals too) are used for shoulders, head, face
- cilinders for arms, forearms, thigs and legs
- box for man's chest and pelvis
- triangles for hands and feet
- cones used to draw woman's chest and hips
- curves and lines for other fine things
